Let your light shine
Matthew 5:16
Hello gals & HELLO warmer weather!!
Before I dive in, I just have to say that I am sure everyone can agree that 2020 has NOT been the year we have hoped for, dreamed of or planned out, and that is okay! I'm sure you are snuggled up on your island oasis, other known as your couch, pigging out while you "quarantine and chill!" Let's be honest... the majority of us needed this type of break to refocus, reevaluate and just breathe in everything that is most important to us. If you have not yet, take this time to pray to our Heavenly Father to reveal to you what life habits should stay and what should go as we one day venture back into normal, everyday life! With that being said, let's jump right into something a little bit more fun! Have you ladies had the chance to shop the latest swimwear for 2020?? This year's trends are probably my favorite yet! The patterns and colors are so young and fresh, but my absolute fav aspects about Spring/Summer 2020 swimwear are the modest designs and details. The upcoming styles are the most put-together, thoughtfully designed pieces that I have ever shopped when it comes to swimwear. Here's just a few reasons why YOU should be just as thrilled for pool side & beachside attire, too!! Trends to look out for & shop for: -High-waist bikinis, a continued trend -Belted suits and Ties around the waist -Bright colors and bold patterns -ONE PIECE SUITS**** -Sleeves.. YES this is going to be worn by the bold trend setters!! -Swimsuits that almost appear as an outfit! -Textured materials -TIE DYE Tips: -DO NOT be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and into something new! I promise that at least a few of these new trends will be very flattering on you! -Light weight sweaters will be trending this summer! Use one as a cover-up! -I love one-piece suits! A sweetheart cup style flatters most figures! A belted one-piece gives an additional, aesthetically pleasing look! -Take advantage of the high-waisted swimmies! Who cares if your hubby does not like the way it looks! It allows you to enjoy more summer snacks and is super cute on you ;) -Big clips, scarves and floppy hats adds SO MUCH to your summer outfits, including your swimwear! -Rock your new look and be confident in your skin as you show a little less this summer!! Overall, 2020 has been a bit of a bummer, but the Spring & Summer pieces have not let us down! So take some time to yourself and add some cute items to your cart! As soon as we get back to the "real world", click "order", and plan a REAL vacay! Blessings, Dani Jenee

Mother’s Day can be extremely difficult for a woman who has been waiting for that precious gift that gives this very holiday its significance. In all actuality, this holiday can be a brutal and devastating reminder of what we don’t yet have. Or what we may have lost..
Every year, I look forward to celebrating my beautiful mother, my aunts, my friends, my cousins and my grandmothers who have all brought so much life and love into the world! But even more importantly, I share my heart and recognize us, the mothers in the wait. There are so many fun and inspirational Gift Guides floating around the virtual world for mothers on Mother’s Day! They are so very helpful, in fact! However, I am going to flip the script to YOU special lady, and encourage everyone to remember the ones who also, need to be honored this holiday and to be loved on a little extra, too. I get it! What can you give a woman who has been through so much without overwhelming her or misunderstanding her?! It can be difficult trying to meet someone in a place of brokenness and feel as though what you have to offer is not enough! Unfortunately, nothing you can do will take away the pain one feels when going through infertility or loss. BUT I can promise you that your effort and thoughtfulness means the absolute WORLD to a mommy in the wait!! You can make the worst day a source of HOPE for her!! So in honor of my TTC Sisters, I put together some gift ideas for anyone who wants to send some love to a lady in the waiting! I made sure to include items that are dear to my heart, faith based and #ttc trending! I hope that this Gift Guide gives so much love, hope, inspiration and encouragement to who ever is in need! Many Blessings, Danielle GIFT IDEAS:

A gift that shows we are in this together, and can take the feeling of responsibility off of our shoulders! 4)Encouraging Reads!! I included In Due Time Devotional by Caroline Harries, Every Bitter Thing is Sweet by Sara Hagerty, the Passion Translation of the New Testament, and a prayer journal! Her MOH/sister, her mother, her cousins and aunts, the bridal crew and myself wanted to give her something big to remember as her last fling before the ring! A few of us came up with her Havana Nights theme several months ago over a late night cousin + coffee sesh. The idea originated around the time of her engagement when the pop song "Havana Ooh-Na-Na" hit the charts! Hence, "Savannah" Ooh-Na-Na!! We knew that we wanted it to be a surprise for her! It has been torture for our bride-to-be, but oh so entertaining for us as we discussed, crafted and shopped all in great spirits for her grand reveal! Our stay was in Destin, Florida right in the center of all the local hot spots. Our beach house was just a few steps from the sandy beach and emerald Gulf Coast that we have been craving since the start of our planning! Six bedrooms and four baths was more than enough to accommodate each of us! We booked our stay from Thursday to Sunday! Some of us were arriving Thursday at different times throughout the day, while others arrived Friday! Friday and Saturday were mapped out. Each night had its own celebratory event. Friday was designated for her Lingerie Shower. We decided to theme it a PJ party! We had shrimp tacos, chips + salsa, coffee, sweets and a whole lot of sassy fun arranged for this night! Saturday night was the night we were going to hit the town! We reserved a table for 13 at Tommy Bahamas! (BEST FOOD & DECISION WE HAD MADE) It was absolutely delicious and so fitting to our theme! Following dinner, we shared a few dances and laughs at AJs! If you are down for a good time, we highly recommend this joint! Shopping for our Havana themed Bach Bash was exciting yet challenging! Lets dive right in & talk Swimmies! I ordered my bright coral and blush swimsuit from Shein! I loved the high-waisted bottoms and wrap, ruffled top! For my accessories, I wore green beaded leaf earrings from Versona! Luckily, I had the PERFECT second bikini that I purchased from Target last summer! Hot pink, tropical pattern, also, high-waisted = theme approved!! I paired the cutest hot pink beaded bird earrings with it that were, also, from Versona! Generally, finding my swim & beach wear was fairly quick and no task at all! As I mentioned above, Friday was her Lingerie PJ Party! Moreover, we wanted it to coordinate with her Cuban theme! I found my light blue and coral trimmed pajama set at J. Crew Factory in Tanger! I pulled in our theme with my bold statement bird earrings that I had worn earlier that day on the beach! Shopping for my Havana Nights outfit was a little bit more challenging! However, I am happy to say that I was completely satisfied and pleased with my end result attire! I purchased my wide leg, pleated pants from Forever 21! They were a website exclusive order! Thank goodness I found them when I did!! My crochet rainbow top came from Blu Spero Boutique in Baton Rouge! Shout out to the ladies at this shop who were so helpful, sweet and just as excited for our weekend to unfold! Lastly, just like the rest of my accessories this weekend, I found my bold, floral earrings and green stone bracelet from Versona that brought the finishing touches to my Cuban inspired look! Though the theme was paradise centered, I loved how the totality of my outfit had a 70s vibe to it! Furthermore, we had crafted and created every floral headpiece, every decoration and every extra special thing that had went into this bachelorette weekend getaway! Overall, it has truly been an honor and blessing to be included in every step of my best friend/cousin's wedding festivities! We all are overjoyed for her Big Day at the end of next month! Praying that God continues to shower Savannah and Jacob with His anointing as they make their way to Mr. and Mrs.! Grateful for the memories made!! ~Danielle Shop This Post
Over the last several months, me and my girls have been on the prowl for all kinds of different attire! You see, a few of us are in THREE weddings within the next SIX months! As excited as we are about all the wedding bliss that is going on around us, we have been on the hunt for each outfit that will coordinate with that particular event we purchased it for!
Though I am thrilled to share with you all of the things about all of the events, I am going to save that segment for later... My point is that, shopping lately has been more about the task and less about the leisure sport that it typically is for me! (Yes, shopping is my physical activity!!) So while I was out and about these past few days preparing for one out of the three bachelorette trips that is soon to be upon us, I came across several tees that I feel deserve some recognition! I am not one who works in an office, nor do I have to dress business casual from day to day. My everyday look basically consists of athleisure wear, & sometimes, I'll spruce things up and throw on a cute little playsuit or sun dress! Some of my favorite items in my closet are my T-shirts! Just ask my husband!!! He knows my slight obsession. I love the comfort, simplicity and even the classic staple of a good ole tee. Not to mention how easy they are to dress up or down if need be!
"Today is a Good Day"
I particularly love the way that T-shirts can be worn to express our inner self through our outward appearance! It can represent all the stuff we are made of! How we wear it (loose, fitted, distressed, seven days in a row) can ultimately give a glimpse of who we are and our personality! And I ADORE that! I found this gem that reads "Today is a good day" at Old Navy this past weekend! It was only $5, originally $14.99!!!! (Btw, they are currently $10, and the sale ends tonight!!) I paired it with these super cute chambray bottoms that I found at Forever 21 a while back, a Scrunchy and some fun earrings to match! One of my favorite looks from this shoot!
Color on the Horizon
There is nothing like a comfy, cute long sleeve tee! Oh my goodness!! I purchased this lovely at JC Penny on sale, made by the popular brand Arizona! I'm so excited to have snagged it for under $20! Luckily, it is now priced at $14.99 with coupon! There are other fun colors and patterns available, too! I put some fun jewelry together with it! Stax made by my friend Arlyn & bright yellow hoops from Charming Charlies!
"Happy Thoughts"
Happy thoughts.. we all need a few of those right?? Girlfriends, I came across this top two weeks ago while browsing through Ross. I was having a difficult time and my heart was heavy with things that were going on in my personal life. I saw this cropped tee and it gave me a smile. I later purchased it, and I am so HAPPY that I did! I have a really good feeling I will wear this little outfit a few times this summer. My white denim skirt is American Eagle and flatforms are from a local brick and mortar,Virgo Boutique.
Overall, I really enjoy styling casual looks! T-shirts just so happen to be one of my fortes! Moreover, I wanted to piece together some outfit ideas that can be fitting and accommodating for Spring Break, upcoming vacays & warmer weather strolls!

Blessings, Danielle SHOP THIS POST![]() My absolute favorite thing while shopping is finding pieces that I love marked down a huge chunk of the price! I mean WHO doesn't!? And if I am being completely honest, I don't really like spending over $25 for each item that I buy, whatever it may be! Unless, I have to! I am so very blessed to have succeeded my career of choice: homemaker, wife and miraculously, one day mommy! With my husband's love and support, I am able to do so many things that allow me to express and exercise my creativity. Blogging being one, content creator for a local boutique being another! In addition, I volunteer for various church and faith-based events, as well as, teach 7th Grade PSR each year for my church parish. As you can see, each day is a different routine and schedule for me. I try to be as frugal with my money as I can be while maintaining a well dressed wardrobe! Yesterday, I was out and about doing wifely duties and running errands. I stopped in at the Mall of Louisiana in search for a gift that I needed to purchase. Casually, I browsed my favorite retailers and popped into Charlotte Russe. They had a huge sign on their windows that read "60-80% OFF all merchandise!!" Some of you may already know, but if you haven't yet gotten the memo, Charlotte Russe is shutting down all of their store fronts!! Oh Man! I was a little disappointed once I found out about this news! I grew up shopping at this store. Unfortunately, they really started to have some super cute, trendy items in-store this season! So I hate to see them go! BUT surprisingly while riffling through the picked over merchandise, I found this precious button-front skirt that ties in front with the sweetest bow! They also had different colors and styles similar to the one that I purchased. Originally, this skirt was priced at $18.99, but I bought it just a little over $8 after tax! I won't be able to link my skirt due to their closing, BUT I will link similar styles that are just as affordably priced from Forever 21! You can pair this style skirt with just about any basic top! Black, white, grey or tan! Tank, sleeveless, OTS, long sleeve or a tee. This outfit was so comfortable to wear, so easy to throw together and oh so cute to display and run my errands in! I love to shop and save whenever I can! If you need more tips on how to shop wisely, shoot me a message on my IG account, @dani_jenee! Blessings, Danielle Shop This PostToday is officially the second day of Spring! Sunny & 75° down here in South Louisiana! I love how the weather is finally cooperating with the season we are actually in! Can I get an AMEN?! So instead of throwing on some Nike shorts and a tee, I wanted to amp up my thread game in celebration of the welcoming days to come! Basically, my outfit is the basic go-to for just about any girl across the Red, White & Blue. But that's okay because it is comfy, trendy and so very easy. Moreover, I pulled together some old and new pieces to create the ensemble making it a fresh, new look without a huge price tag! My t-shirt dress is H&M. I am barely 5'1" and wearing a size Small. Sizing up can give more length and a more flowy appearance. I purchased this dress last year so I linked a similar style! In addition, I threw on my newly purchased jean jacket from American Eagle Outfitters to keep warm from the wind! I kept my accessories simple. Gold hoops from Versona and my favorite Olivia Burton watch. If you haven't gotten a chance to check out this brand, I HIGHLY recommend it! I want so many more pieces from her. My sunglasses are a Krewe design. OMG! Guys! This brand is originated in New Orleans, LA which is very near to my hometown. Their styles are classy, timeless and sophisticated. They are my very first pair of designer sunglasses so I am super excited and proud to own them! The style I went with is "Orleans" in Rose Gold Titanium + Camellia. Lastly, you can never go wrong with a pair of Adidas sneakers! (Superstar Shoes) So I slipped those babies on. I actually found mine last Fall from TJ Maxx while taking my weekly browsing spree! Wink, wink! Overall, I enjoyed my little attire for the second day of Spring! Even more so, sharing it with you guys! Thank you for stopping in and keeping up! Blessings, Danielle SHOP THIS POST Okay guys! Let's face it! Christmas is literally right around the corner.. like next week! Stores are insane and traffic is even crazier. During the Christmas Season, holiday parties can be endless! What are my most essential wardrobe pieces this year?! PJs!! I have a handful of Christmas Pajama Parties this year, and I am sharing with you guys my favorite loungey finds!
