My Fertility Treatment + Care
Currently, we are pursuing fertility treatment with a brand new and innovative Reproductive Endocrinologist at Fertility Answers in Baton Rouge, LA.
Previous Fertility Care:
I am very pleased and blessed to have been under the care of NaProTechnology and Creighton Model FertilityCare System.
The Creighton Model FertilityCare System "allows you to know and understand the phases of fertility and infertility that occur in a woman's cycle. With this understanding, the couple is able to make decisions regarding the 'achievement or avoidance' of pregnancy. It is a system that also provides a woman the added benefit of being able to monitor and maintain, over a lifetime, her procreative and gynecologic health.
Using the Creighton Model System as a means of monitoring one's reproductive and gynecologic health has led to the new reproductive medical and surgical science of NaProTECHNOLOGY (Natural Procreative Technology)."
I originally sought out Creighton Model in January 2016. I charted and observed specific "biomarkers" that helped me communicate with my Creighton Model Practitioner. After 8 weeks of abnormal cycles, she advised me to seek medical care with a family physician, who practiced NaProTechnology. Blood work was ordered. Testing took place. And weeks later, I was diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure(POF).
Thereafter, I sought out fertility treatment through a highly successful Fertility Specialist in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I was not satisfied with the very few options that were given to me(donor eggs or birth control), and I eventually re-pursued NaProTechnology and Creighton Model in late February 2017.
I was so happy to have been back in the caring arms of this amazing and very successful FertilityCare System. In each and every appointment, I had the privilege to share my faith, questions, concerns and charting with my OBGYN in Covington, Louisiana. God led me into the most fitting and hopeful fertility treatment and care. The protocol for POF consisted of a BioIdentical Hormonal regimen, blood work 2-3 times a week, depending on levels, and weekly ultrasounds to track follicular growth and maturity. I must add, that my primary OBGYN at Woman's Hospital in Baton Rouge had so generously offered her partnership and services to assist my NaPro OBGYN in any medical assistance the she needs. This helped tremendously, because I live over an hour away from the Covington NaProTechnology location, The Gianna Center of the Gulf South.
I wanted to share my previous plan of treatment, in hopes that if someone out there is seeking a better fertility option (male or female), that they ,too, are encouraged to research and pursue this great gift as well!
